Perry Miranda is a seasoned Software Quality Assurance engineer and manager with over 20 years of experience in a range of technologies and products. Perry spent 11 years at AOL, where he experienced the exciting and accelerated web and internet revolution. As a Senior Technical Manager, Perry was responsible for managing various QA teams across several locations worldwide, including teams in California, Arizona, New York, Virginia, Ireland, and India. During this time, he had the opportunity to work with and manage very complex and highly scalable systems and products including Instant Messages, Chat, Blogs, You’ve Got Pictures, Message Boards, Web Publishing, Videos platform, as well as the entire Entertainment Content Management System (CMS) with all its corresponding web channels (Music, TV, Movies, and Games).
Most recently, Perry worked at The Map Network, Inc., a startup later acquired by NAVTEQ, LLC and then by NOKIA Corporation, where he was responsible for managing the Content Management QA teams located in Chicago, Washington DC, Bosnia, and India. Those teams supported the testing of all location-based CMS platforms, along with their corresponding web and mobile applications. While at NAVTEQ, Perry was instrumental in planning, defining, and executing the methodologies, procedures, tools, and automation practices for testing a brand new location-based CMS to be consumed by NOKIA’s OVI platform.
Perry resides in Washington, DC and commutes to the office in his vintage Vespa as weather permits.
