So Lowe’s Says to Apple, “How Much for 42,000 iPhones?”

Home furnishing giant Lowe’s is the latest retailer to unveil plans to equip its staff with iPhones to drive in-store sales. The North Carolina-based building supply company will shell out an undisclosed amount for 42,000 iPhones, which workers will use to process transactions a la Apple Stores and answer customers’ questions, among other things.
