PointAbout Mobilizes AFP Content with Futbol Ya

PointAbout has teamed up with Agence France-Presse (AFP) to create an iPhone application based on its soccer news feed, called Futbol Ya.

The application features a photo-rich environment of soccer news worldwide, provided by AFP.  The application uses the PointAbout framework which allows it to run as a native iPhone application while its content stays constantly updated.

“This is an opportunity for us to show the power of PointAbout’s approach to native application building,” said Daniel R. Odio, a co-founder of PointAbout, Inc.  The application utilizes PointAbout’s thin-client springboard for rapid development across multiple phone platforms.
